Currently, the actress is seen playing the lead opposite Nakuul Mehta post the generation leap in STAR Plus show, Ishqbaaz – Pyaar Ki Ek Dhinchak Kahani. Talking about it, the actress, in a statement to an entertainment portal said, "It is a matter of pride to be associated with such a project in my Hindi debut. I am working very hard to do justice to my cop character (ACP Aditi Deshmukh). At first, I was worried whether I would be able to fit into this Gul Khan-helmed unit, which has been together for three long years. But it has been a breeze, with everyone welcoming me with open arms."

Here are 5 pictures of the actress that proves she apt for the role:

In the first season of Ishqbaaaz, Surbhi Chandna was seen romancing the actor, however, post the leap, except Nakuul, new characters have been roped in to play the characters. And Manjiri Pupala was roped in to play Nakuul's love interest in the show, which didn't really go down well with the fans. The actress has been getting negative fan feedback for replacing Surbhi Chandna.

Talking about the same, the actress had said, "At the very outset, let me clarify that I have not replaced Surbhi (Anika). My character is new as we are starting a new story post leap. Even Nakuul Mehta is not playing Shivaay, but his son, Shivaansh," further adding, "To be honest, I quite understand the anger and resistance, for the earlier iconic characters were so well loved. Having said that, this does not atone those few who get personal. My reply to such baiters is simple – if you don’t respect somebody else’s creativity and faith as an artist, you are not even worth engaging with."

On the professional front, the actress was seen in a M Town film titled Party. Helmed by Sachin Darekar, the film was bankrolled by Jitendra Ramesh Chivelkar under the banner NavVidha Productions Limited. Watch this space for further updates.
