As per a report by Journal du Geek, the traditional video game trope of instantly pulling heavy armaments from thin air has been completely phased out. The overhauled mechanics mean that carrying a rifle openly in public will instantly trigger panic among bystanders and draw the attention of local law enforcement. Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson explained that older inventory systems no longer suit the sophisticated behavioral AI engineered for the new title, noting that non-player characters now operate using hundreds of thousands of fluid animations to deliver authentic reactions.
