UPPSC PCS Mains 2016: Final Stage Interview Schedule to Shortlist Candidates Will Be Released Today Online at uppsc.up.nic.in

After waiting for over two years, the candidates appearing in the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Mains, finally received their results. About 1,993 candidates were declared successful in the provincial civil services (PCS) mains examination 2016. The conducting body further confirmed to announce the interview schedule today, November 16 for the qualified candidates who will appear for the final stage—interviews for the recruitment of 633 posts. On March 20, 2016, above two lakh candidates participated in the preliminary examinations, the result of which was announced on May 27 in the same year. 14,000 students were qualified to appear in the second stage of the UPPSC PCS examination. As per the commission, about 12,901 aspirants sat in the main exams held from September 20 to October 10, 2016, in Allahabad and Lucknow centres. According to the recruitment notification, the selected candidates will get a payment between Rs. 9,300 to 34,800 with Grade Pay (GP) of Rs. 4,200 to Rs. 15,600 to Rs. 39,100 with a GP of Rs. 5, 400. The interview schedule will be released for the aspirants who have applied under the ex-servicemen category under Grade C. Further; there is no provision of interviews in the service rule of district horticulture officers. Hence, their results will be announced after the interviews of the remaining candidates.

UPPSC is the state agency authorised to conduct the Civil Services Examination for entry-level appointments to the various Civil Services of Uttar Pradesh. The Constitution of India grants its charter. The commission is holding the PCS exam under three phases, prelims, mains and viva-voice or personality test.
