Who Can Attend the Delhi Meetings?
According to an official notification issued on July 23, the meetings are meant for organisations, federations and unions based or registered in Delhi that represent Central government and Union Territory (UT) employees.
However, only organisations that have already submitted their memorandum and have not yet met the commission in Delhi or any other state or UT are eligible to apply.

During the meetings, employee unions and pensioner associations are expected to present their recommendations on several issues, including:

More Consultations Planned
The upcoming Delhi meetings follow discussions held in Kolkata on July 9 and 10, where several employee and pensioner organisations raised concerns over the pace of the commission's work and possible delays in the implementation of its recommendations.
The commission clarified that the August meetings are not the final round of consultations. More discussions will be held in Delhi and other states and Union Territories in the coming months.
Organisations located outside the Delhi-NCR region will be able to seek meetings in their respective states, Union Territories or nearby locations. The schedule for future consultations will be published on the commission's official website.
Deadline Extended for Employee Data Upload
Separately, the 8th Pay Commission has extended the deadline for ministries, departments and Union Territories to upload employee data through its online portal. Government bodies now have until July 31, 2026, to complete the process after several departments sought additional time.
The commission has reiterated that only data submitted through the official online portal will be accepted. Information sent via hard copy or email will not be considered.
