An Air India flight operating from Phuket to New Delhi encountered severe turbulence during cruise on Tuesday, August 4, leaving around 14 passengers and crew members injured after the aircraft experienced a sudden change in altitude. Despite the mid-air incident, Flight AI2379 landed safely at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), where medical teams were deployed to assist those affected.

The flight, operated by aircraft VT-EXO, was scheduled to arrive in Delhi at 11:15 am IST. Air India added: “There have been no serious injuries as of now. Medical teams were stationed at Indira Gandhi International Airport before the aircraft's arrival.
