A Bengaluru man has accused his wife and her family of harassment, claiming she sent s*x videos and pressured him into uncomfortable acts. An FIR has been registered at Amruthahalli Police Station, with police investigating allegations of mental, physical abuse and refusal to return gold jewellery.
Bengaluru, March 30: In an unusual and disturbing case, a 37-year-old man from Nagarbavi has filed a police complaint against his wife and her family, alleging sustained harassment involving explicit content and coercive s*xual demands.
According to police sources, the complaint was registered at Amruthahalli Police Station against the man’s wife Shilpa, her mother Asha Pokala, father Madhav Krishna Pokala, and relative Bhamaid Sai Krishna Pokala. The couple, who had been living in Jakkur after their marriage several years ago, reportedly faced ongoing marital discord. The husband alleged that his mother-in-law frequently instigated disputes between the couple. He also claimed that his wife, who was accustomed to a luxurious lifestyle, insisted on maintaining close ties with wealthy friends and objected to being questioned about her social habits, including drinking. The complaint further details serious allegations of harassment. The husband claimed that his wife sent him explicit s*x videos and instructed him to watch them in private, later pressuring him to perform similar acts. He also alleged that she coerced him into engaging in intimate activities not only with her but also with one of her female friends. When he refused, he reportedly faced both mental and physical harassment.
Additionally, the complainant stated that his wife disclosed details about her past relationships after marriage and maintained contact with former partners, which added to his distress.
In a separate allegation, the husband claimed that he had given his wife gold jewellery worth several lakhs in good faith, including items belonging to his mother and other family members. He now alleges that she has refused to return the ornaments.
Police officials confirmed that they are examining chat records, videos, and other evidence submitted by the complainant. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
