Bengaluru: Teacher Dies by Suicide 4 Months After Love Marriage, Husband and Sister-in-Law Named in Note
A 25-year-old school teacher was found dead inside her home in Bengaluru just four months after her love marriage. In a suicide note recovered by the police, the deceased, Shwetha, blamed her husband and his elder sister for driving her to take the extreme step, alleging continuous harassment. A 25-year-old teacher, who got married just four months ago, was found dead inside her home in Bengaluru, local police reported. The deceased, identified as Shwetha, was employed as a teacher at a private school and had recently entered a love marriage. Her body was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her residence.
According to investigators, a suicide note was recovered from the scene. In the note, Shwetha held her husband and his elder sister responsible for her death, stating that she had been subjected to harassment. The Bengaluru police have initiated a probe into the circumstances surrounding the death based on the allegations detailed in the letter. Shwetha alleged that her husband and his elder sister were responsible for driving her to take the extreme step as they had been subjecting her to continuous harassment despite her not knowing what she had done wrong.

The handwritten note contained emotional appeals directed at her mother. Addressing her mother in the note, she wrote, “If I die, don’t let them go unpunished, Amma. I made a mistake. Please forgive me.”
The note concluded with a plea for understanding regarding her mental state before her death. "I no longer have the will to live. Please forgive me. Please don’t blame me," she added. Police officials stated that the note has been seized as evidence and further legal procedures against the accused are underway.
