According to police, the injured man, identified as Rakesh Ahirwar, was taken to hospital after family members intervened. A medical examination confirmed that his injuries were caused by a sharp-edged weapon. Based on the report, police registered a case against his wife, Rammani Ahirwar, on Saturday. Police said Rakesh Ahirwar, a native of Vidisha district, works as a labourer and lives in the Municipal Corporation Colony in Bhopal. According to his statement, he returned home in an inebriated state on Friday while his wife was watching television.
Police said Rakesh changed the TV channel, which allegedly led to an argument between the couple. The dispute escalated, and Rammani allegedly picked up a sickle kept inside the house and attacked him. Husband Sustained Head and Cheek Injuries
The alleged attack left Rakesh bleeding after the sickle struck him near his head and cheek. Family members present at the house intervened and rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment. Doctors later confirmed that the injuries had been caused by a sharp-edged weapon.
Following the medical examination, the Chola Mandir police station registered a case against the accused woman on Saturday. Police said the matter remains under investigation, and no arrest has been made so far. Officials are examining all aspects of the incident before taking further action in accordance with the law.
