BJP MLA Udaybhan Chaudhary Caught on Camera Threatening Agra SDM With Political Clout; Watch Video

Agra, December 18: In another incident of ‘political arrogance’, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) MLA Udaybhan Chaudhary on Monday was caught on camera threatening a Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Garima Singh in Agra. The video which went viral on social media is drawing flak for unruly behaviour of the MLA. In the video, Chaudhary was heard threatening the SDM. He said, “Don’t you know I am an MLA? However, the MLA from Fatehpur Sikri defended his comment. He accused the SM of not listening to complaints of the people. Chaudhary reportedly made the remark while he had gone to meet the SDM over Agra's Achhnera farmers’ issues. Meanwhile, Singh discarded the allegations of the MLA as baseless. According to reports, a few months ago, the farmers of the area visited the district magistrate’s office demanding loan waiver.

It is not the first time where the MLAs or their family members misuse the power. Earlier in June, a son of the then BJP MLA allegedly thrashed a driver for not allowing him to pass through. On June 1, Raja, the son of Rajasthan’s former MLA Dhan Singh Rawat blocked the way of Maruti Suzuki Swift and then beat the driver of the car in Banswara’s Vidyut colony. The entire incident was captured on CCTV.
