New Delhi, March 25: Amid growing concerns over fuel availability, state-run Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has issued a strong clarification, stating that there is no shortage of petrol or diesel anywhere in the country. The company termed recent reports suggesting fuel scarcity in certain regions as “completely unfounded,” aiming to ease public anxiety and curb panic buying.

BPCL emphasised that fuel supply remains stable across India, supported by adequate reserves of crude oil, petrol, diesel, and aviation turbine fuel (ATF). “Supply chains are operating smoothly,” the company said, assuring that there are no disruptions in distribution or availability nationwide. ‘State Has an Adequate Stock of Petrol and Diesel’: Gujarat Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi Dismisses Social Media Rumours.

BPCL Assures No Fuel Shortage in India Amid Rumours

The clarification comes at a time when global oil markets are witnessing volatility due to ongoing geopolitical tensions, which have sparked concerns about potential supply disruptions. However, BPCL reiterated that India’s domestic fuel situation remains secure and well-managed.

Urging citizens to remain calm, the company advised against panic-driven purchases or hoarding of fuel. “Citizens are advised not to panic or engage in unnecessary buying,” BPCL said, warning that such actions could create artificial shortages and disrupt otherwise stable supply systems. Fuel Shortage Rumours: Why Buying Petrol in Bottles is Dangerous and Illegal.

Highlighting India’s strong position, BPCL noted that the country is a net exporter of petrol and diesel, which further strengthens its ability to meet domestic demand even during periods of global uncertainty. The company added that its operations are fully functional, with robust systems in place to ensure uninterrupted fuel availability.

BPCL’s statement comes as a reassurance to consumers, underlining that despite global market fluctuations, India’s fuel supply remains comfortable, stable, and sufficient to meet nationwide needs without disruption.
