According to the Lucknow Division of Northern Railway, the child's family approached the Station Master in a state of distress, informing him that the child had fallen from the moving train around three to four kilometres before the station. Railway officials said the Station Master's swift action helped ensure the child was reunited with his family unharmed.

How the Incident Unfolded
In a post on X, the Lucknow Division of Northern Railway said the incident took place during the night shift between midnight and 8 am. According to the railway, at approximately 1:04 a.m., Train No. 14261 Gaya Junction–Lucknow Ekta Express was standing at Platform No. 2 of Babatpur Station due to Alarm Chain Pulling (ACP).
During the halt, a distressed family approached Station Master Chandresh Kumar Singh and informed him that their child had fallen from the moving train a few kilometres before reaching the station.

The railway said Station Master Chandresh Kumar Singh acted immediately after receiving the family's information.
In its statement, the Lucknow Division said: "Demonstrating its commitment to passenger safety and assistance, Northern Railway's Lucknow Division at Babatpur Station, through the Station Master's quick thinking and prompt action, successfully reunited the child who had fallen from the train with his family unharmed."
Officials did not disclose the child's age or provide further details about how the child fell from the train.
Northern Railway highlighted the incident as an example of the importance of quick coordination and timely action by railway staff during emergencies. The railway said the child was reunited with the family safely, and no injuries were reported in the official statement.
