DUSU Election Result 2026 Update

Counting of votes for the Delhi University Student's Union (DUSU) elections 2026-27 is underway at the Multipurpose Hall of the University Sports Stadium in North Campus.

The counting began on Saturday after polling for the four central panel posts was held on Friday with a voter turnout of 40.46%.

After Round 14 of counting, NSUI's Vijay Shankar Meena is leading the presidential race by just one vote with 16,107 votes against ABVP's Yash Dabas, who has secured 16,106 votes.

Independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen is leading the vice-president race with 21,247 votes.

ABVP's Riya Chhawdi is ahead in the secretary contest with 13,737 votes, while NSUI's Gopal Choudhary leads the joint secretary race with 11,222 votes.

The DUSU election result 2026 is being closely watched as ABVP, NSUI and other student groups compete for the four key posts of president, vice-president, secretary and joint secretary. In the 2025 DUSU elections, ABVP won three posts while NSUI secured the vice-president's post.

The ABVP fielded Yash Dabas for president, Ishu Maurya for vice-president, Riya Chhawdi for secretary and Lakshya Raj Singh for joint secretary.

NSUI nominated Vijay Shankar Meena, Vir Chatrath, Namrata Chaudhary and Gopal Choudhary for the four posts respectively.

The final DUSU Election Result 2026 will be announced after counting is completed.
