Days after BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut described him as "useless" and "unemployed" in an Instagram post, Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das has responded, saying he prefers dialogue over personal attacks. Speaking in a recent interview, Das said he holds no personal grudge against Ranaut and stressed the importance of respectful public discourse.

Reacting to Ranaut's remarks, Das said even his friends were surprised that she singled him out. Sharing one of their jokes, he said: “One of my friends said maybe she is after my life because I look a little like young Hrithik Roshan.”

The remark appeared to allude to the long-running public dispute between Kangana Ranaut and actor Hrithik Roshan, which began in 2016 after Ranaut referred to him as her "silly ex" in an interview. 'We Should Speak to Each Other With Maryada'

Das said disagreements should be resolved through discussion rather than personal criticism. “The problem in this country is that people don’t talk anymore. There is less discussion, less debate. We should speak to each other with maryada (dignity),” he said.

During the interview, Das also criticised Ranaut's recent remarks about Gen Z protesters, saying public figures should be careful with the language they use while addressing young people.

He said her comments appeared to reflect frustration and questioned the mindset behind such statements, adding that the country's future generation should not be addressed disrespectfully.

Asked whether he would meet Ranaut if she invited him for coffee, Das said he has no animosity towards her or BJP leaders. “We harbour no ill will against anybody, including BJP MPs and people in the government. We have always believed in dialogue." He reiterated that discussions are preferable to personal insults.

What Kangana Ranaut Had Said

The exchange began after Kangana Ranaut responded to Das on Instagram, questioning his credentials and criticising him personally. She wrote: “I googled this person and he is 28 years old. How he claims to be a student I have no clue! Yes I am in politics for past 2 years but I have been in public life for the last 20 years. At his age, I had 2 National Awards.”

She further added: “Yes as a new Parliamentarian I was overwhelmed with all the work because I am also a filmmaker + performing artist + producer + screen writer + entrepreneur. But someone like him who is totally useless and unemployed will never understand what it means to be in massive demand in all times at any age. Dear Saurav your issues are personal. You are not a student you are simply useless. Let's start with learning some skill. It's a good place to start.”

Alongside her criticism of Das, Ranaut also described Gen Z protesters as the “Generation Gutter” and called videos of their protests “puke-inducing.” The exchange has continued to draw attention on social media, with supporters and critics of both figures weighing in on the public dispute.
