Panchkula, October 23: A petition was filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday alleging that Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was mentally harassed in Rohtak’s Sunaria Jail. As per reports, Gupta in the petition mentioned that said that the Dera Sacha Sauda chief is not allowed to meet anybody or make phone calls. According to the petitioner, Ram Rahim had sought information on the rights of a jail inmate under the Right To Information (RTI) Act, but he was denied. Till now, the petition has not been listed for the hearing.

In July this, Ram Rahim had withdrawn his petition to grant him parole of 42 days. The self-styled godman on June 21 had appealed for parole to Sunaria Jail authorities in Rohtak. Ram Rahim applied for parole saying that he wants to farm his land in Sirsa.
