An FIR has been registered against seven police personnel attached to the District Special Team (DST) and the Mathura Gate police station in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district for allegedly physically assaulting a 16-year-old minor, threatening him with a firearm, and implicating him in a false illegal arms case following an extortion demand.

According to the complaint filed on behalf of the minor, the accused officers demanded a monthly extortion payment of ₹10,000. The victim had reportedly paid the amount for three months, but after shutting down his business due to financial losses, he refused further payments. The situation escalated when officers allegedly threatened him, subjected him to physical violence, and warned that they would shoot him in the leg if he recorded or opposed their actions. Refuting the allegations, Mathura Gate Police Station In-charge Harlal Meena called the charges baseless. Meena stated that the minor already faces two prior cases under the Arms Act registered at the Mathuragate and Sewar police stations. Police officials claimed the allegations were fabricated to exert pressure on law enforcement.

Authorities are currently reviewing the complaint, and further investigation is underway to verify the sequence of events.
