Mumbai, November 25: In one of the major developments over the weekend, the political situation in Maharashtra, took a U-turn. Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Chief Minister of the state on Saturday. While Ajit Pawar from NCP was sworn in as the Deputy CM. The move was denounced by NCP chief, Sharad Pawar who told media that Ajit misled the Governor, submitting wrong papers to indicate NCP's support.

Talks were on between Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress and they were supposed to form the government on Saturday. It took everyone by surprise when early in the morning, BJP and NCP officials met Governor to inform that together they will form the government.

In a shocking incident, one person has been found dead and four injured after unidentified miscreants open fired at a wedding function in Hapur. Police says, "prima facie it appears to be a case of personal rivalry. Injured persons have been admitted to the hospital."

The Hong Kong elections record a high 71.2 percent voter turnout.
