Mumbai, July 27: In a shocking case, two class 9 students and their accomplice have been booked for allegedly extorting money from a classmate. The students were studying in an English medium school in Navi Mumbai's Kamothe. According to the Times of India report, the two accused threaten the victim that their accomplice, a cousin of one of them, knew goons and had swords. The incident came to light when the victim rapidly started losing weight and his mother took her to a Kalamboli Hospital.

When the boy was getting medical attention, his mother picked up a call. The call was from the accused who asked "Kaam ho gya kya?". On being asked about the suspicious call, the victim tried to avoid the topic. A day after, his father discovered that some cash was missing from their house, reported Times of India. On being asked, the victim said he had spent it on snacks. To confirm the same, his father took him to shop but the shopkeeper denied his version.

Later, the victim trusted his mother and narrated her whole ordeal. A complaint was registered by the victim's father on Tuesday. The complainant said that Rs 2.5 lakh cash, a mobile phone and a gold chain worth Rs 30,000 was extorted between January 2018 to July this year. The accused are minor, while the cousin is an adult. A probe is underway.
