The deceased have been identified as Sunil More, a teacher at the Pota Budruk Zilla Parishad School in Himayatnagar, his 12-year-old daughter Sara, and his 8-year-old son Sumit.
According to local authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 8:00 AM on the Amdura-Punegaon road. More allegedly drove his vehicle through the side metal railings of the bridge, causing the car to fall directly into the river below. All three occupants drowned. Shortly before the incident, More posted a status update on his WhatsApp account. The message alleged that he was facing persistent harassment from his seniors at work, and indicated his intention to end his life along with his two children. Upon being alerted by local residents, local police and a team from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to the scene. Following a rescue operation that lasted roughly three hours, the vehicle was successfully pulled from the water, and the bodies of the three victims were recovered from inside. The bodies have been sent to a local hospital for post-mortem examinations. Nanded police have launched a formal investigation into the case. Officials confirmed that they are actively looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident, specifically investigating the allegations of workplace harassment mentioned in the victim's final WhatsApp status.
