Thane, January 23: In a major crackdown on illegal activities, the Mira-Bhayander Vasai-Virar Police (MBVV Police) on Thursday conducted a raid at “Royal Sky Thai Spa,” touted as the largest spa in the Mira-Bhayander area. The operation was carried out by a special police team under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Chavan and was led by Police Inspector Pujari.

According to police officials, the raid resulted in the rescue of six women who were allegedly being exploited at the premises. Six individuals involved in the illegal operation were arrested on the spot. An offence has been registered at Navghar Police Station under relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (PITA). Police have initiated further investigation to ascertain the full extent of the racket, including the involvement of additional accused, the duration of the operation, and whether similar activities were being run at other locations. Police Bust Prostitution Ring Operating From Girls’ Hostel in Lalpur, 13 Arrested.

Officials stated that the rescued women are being provided necessary assistance, including medical aid and counseling, as per established procedures. The accused have been taken into custody and will be produced before the court for further legal action.

Senior police officers emphasized that such operations are part of MBVV Police’s sustained drive to curb human trafficking, prostitution rackets, and other illegal activities that threaten public safety and social order. “We remain committed to strict enforcement of the law and to ensuring the safety and dignity of all citizens,” an official said.

The raid sends a strong message against unlawful operations and underscores the police department’s resolve to maintain law and order across the Mira-Bhayander region.
