Authorities stated that the ongoing investigation into the matter is proceeding following judicial directives.

Police records indicate that a case was previously filed at the Hazratganj Police Station against the woman featured in the viral video and her spouse. Lucknow Police Issues Statement
To evade ongoing investigative proceedings, the accused had earlier approached the High Court by filing a petition. However, the High Court dismissed the petition, directing the individuals to fully cooperate with the police inquiry as evidence collection continues.

Investigators noted that before the current public allegations made by the woman against BJP MLA Vinod Singh, the accused individuals had not filed any formal complaints concerning molestation, s*xual harassment, or related grievances with the local police station or any senior administrative official. Lucknow police further said that law enforcement authorities have secured Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) footage corresponding to the relevant dates. Officials stated that further legal actions are being determined strictly in accordance with the law, based on gathered evidence and a thorough, impartial investigation.
