Passersby and witnesses alerted the local authorities, following which a team from the Delhi Police arrived at the spot. Emergency medical personnel transported both individuals to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead upon arrival. Police have taken the vehicle driver into custody and impounded the Mahindra Thar involved in the crash.
