A shocking case of alleged medical negligence has surfaced from Telangana, where a woman was forced to deliver her baby while standing beside her hospital bed at a government run maternal and child health centre after medical staff allegedly failed to respond to her in time. The family alleged that the newborn fell to the floor immediately after birth and suffered a head injury. They claimed nurses arrived only several minutes later, while the mother suffered excessive bleeding, triggering panic among other pregnant women in the ward. Hospital Denies Negligence Charges

Hospital authorities, however, denied the allegations of negligence. According to them, the woman did not inform the medical staff that she had entered active labour, and doctors and nurses would have immediately attended to her and shifted her for delivery had they been alerted in time. The hospital said both the mother and the newborn were provided medical treatment after the incident and that the baby's condition was being closely monitored.

Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, with the allegations of medical negligence remaining under inquiry.
