Under the enhanced guidelines of the Vetri Payanam scheme, women can travel free of charge on Express, Low Speed Shuttle (LSS), and Deluxe government buses operating within metropolitan and urban transit networks. To support seamless inter-district movement and rural connectivity, the scheme also extends free travel on ordinary-fare government buses running through mofussil (suburban) and hilly regions.
