Hyderabad, December 12: K Chandrashekar Rao-led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is all set to form its second successive government in Telangana after a thumping majority in the assembly elections 2018. In what is believed to be a clear vindication of party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao's popularity, the TRS won 88 seats out of the 119 assembly seats in the state. As trends showed TRS will return to power for the second term, many opposition leaders in the state were in a state of shock. According to a report by TOI, the shock defeats in the assembly polls in the state reportedly landed two well-known politicians in hospital on Tuesday.  Congress candidate from Nalgonda, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy was rushed to a hospital after he complained of sudden weakness. The report informed that Reddy fell unconscious due to a sudden rise in blood pressure. K Chandrasekhar Rao To Take Oath as Chief Minister of Telangana on Thursday; Reports. 

Apart from Reddy, TRS's Palair candidate Tummala Nageswara Rao's health deteriorated after he lost to his Congress opponent. The former minister reportedly complained of chest pain and was rushed to a hospital in Khammam. It must be noted that Tummala was elected on three occasions to the legislative assembly of Andhra Pradesh as a TDP candidate from Sathupalli constituency.

Rao, 64, who emerged as the mascot of Telangana pride, led his party to the impressive performance in the polls by winning his Gajwel seat by a margin of 57,321 votes. He defeated V Pratap Reddy of the Congress. Rao's son K T Rama Rao and nephew T Harish Rao, both ministers in his caretaker government, also won by impressive margins.
