Danielle told doctors about the filler injections, but Ubiribo lost consciousness before a recommended CT scan could be performed. Doctors determined he had suffered a pulmonary embolism, a clot blocking a blood vessel in the lungs, and transferred him to intensive care. Medics performed CPR for more than 100 minutes, but Ubiribo died in the early hours of March 6.

The inquest heard that Ubiribo experienced two episodes of loss of consciousness during the massage after receiving the injections. Coroner Jean Harkin ruled that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the cosmetic procedure. The inquest concluded that the injection of hyaluronic acid into the pen*s was responsible for the fatal complication. The Inner West London Coroner's Court investigates deaths that are sudden, unexplained or occur in circumstances requiring a coroner's investigation.

Influencer Known For Lavish Lifestyle

Ubiribo had about 185,000 Instagram followers and was known for his lavish lifestyle. He owned a USD 1.1 million home in Los Angeles’ Crenshaw neighborhood and a USD 600,000 apartment in London. He and Danielle, a fashion designer and socialite, married in a lavish USD 473,000 ceremony in Zimbabwe in 2022.

Ubiribo was buried in London in a gold coffin reportedly costing more than USD 745,000. Mourners included Nigerian superstar Davido and Celebrity Barman Cubana Chief Priest. His social media presence was built around an international lifestyle, with reports noting that he travelled frequently and maintained a public profile focused on luxury and travel.

Hyaluronic acid pen*s fillers can cost up to USD 9,000 and typically last six to nine months. British urology experts have warned of potentially devastating complications. Reported complications from penile filler procedures can include infection, loss of sensation, erectile dysfunction, inflammation and scarring that can alter the shape of the pen*s.
