According to Pandey, the delivery executive had visited his home several times before, so they were already acquainted. When the rider arrived with the order in heavy rain, Pandey invited him inside, offered him a glass of water and noticed that his eyes were red from crying.
When asked if everything was alright, the delivery partner quietly replied, "Kuchh achha nahi hai, bhaiya (Things are not good, brother)."
After some encouragement, the rider revealed that his mother had fallen down the stairs earlier that morning and had been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). Her condition was critical, and the only train to his hometown was scheduled to leave at 11 pm, with a journey of nearly 30 hours. "He said, 'I don't even know if I'll be able to see her in time,'" Pandey recalled.
Pandey then asked whether the rider had eaten. After learning that he had not, the two shared the same meal. Wanting to help him reach home faster, Pandey searched for flights online and found one costing around INR 4,000. He booked the ticket immediately.

A few hours later, the rider reached home and was able to meet his mother. The next morning, he called Pandey with good news, saying doctors had informed the family that his mother was out of danger and was expected to return home within four to five days. In a follow-up post, Pandey shared that once his mother recovered, the delivery partner transferred the entire INR 4,000 back to him. Pandey immediately returned the money, saying the gesture was never meant to be repaid.
