On Friday, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) announced the appointment of actor R Madhavan as the President of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Society, also naming him the Chairperson of the governing council. This development comes as the tenure of former president director Shekhar Kapur concluded on March 3, 2023.
