The much-anticipated trailer for Double iSmart, the sequel to Puri Jagannadh's 2019 film iSmart Shankar, dropped on Sunday, August 4. Ram Pothineni reprises his role as Shankar with Sanjay Dutt stepping in as the Big Bull. The story of Double iSmart revolves around Shankar, whose brain is embedded with a chip that allows memory transfer. Sanjay Dutt, who plays the antagonist, plans to achieve immortality using the memory transfer technology that Shankar possesses. The movie also stars Kavya Thapar, Mohammad Ali, and Bani J in pivotal roles. As the trailer was released, fans took to social media to share their reactions to the upcoming Telugu film. A user wrote, "RAPO screen presence, dialogue mentality, dance modulation...etc deserve to ultimate blockbuster". While other fans were excited to see Pothineni back as Shankar.
