In a horrifying incident in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, an eight-year-old girl was brutally raped and murdered by a labourer under the influence of ganja. The accused, who hailed from Bihar and worked in a local rice mill, lured the girl to a nearby forest under the pretence of giving her biscuits. Once in the secluded area, he sexually assaulted her before killing her. The crime occurred in Nelaballi village of Doravarisatram Mandal yesterday, July 17.
