The first set of citizenship certificates under the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has been issued, the Ministry of Home Affairs said on Wednesday. Accordingly, 14 people have been given CAA certificates. Union Home Secretary Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla handed citizenship certificates to some applicants in New Delhi today, the government said in a statement.
