JD(S) leader HD Revanna has been released from Parappana Agrahara Jail in Karnataka’s Bengaluru after he was granted conditional bail by a special court of people's representatives on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. He was arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) officials in a kidnapping case registered against him at KR Nagar police station on May 4. Prajwal Revanna, his son, is an accused in the Karnataka sex scandal case connected to the leaked clips of multiple women. He is the son of HD Deve Gowda, the former prime minister.
