A massive fire broke out at the Joint Commercial Tax (Sales Tax) office on Jail Road in Khandwa on Sunday afternoon. The blaze, which began around 2 PM, quickly engulfed the building, sending plumes of thick smoke into the sky. Firefighting teams were immediately dispatched to the scene and are currently working to douse the flames. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the office was closed for the Sunday holiday. However, preliminary reports indicate that significant government records and office infrastructure have been destroyed. Authorities suspect the fire may have spread from burning bushes nearby or an electrical short circuit.
