Palghar, January 4: A 15-year-old student died of a suspected heart attack on Saturday in Maharashtra’s Palghar district shortly after securing third place in a school marathon. Roshni Goswami, a Class 10 student at Bharati Academy English School in Talasari, collapsed minutes after completing the race during the school's annual sports day. According to officials, Roshni complained of breathlessness and dizziness before losing consciousness on the field. School staff rushed her to a nearby hospital in Umbargaon, where she was declared dead on arrival. Her mother, Sunitaben Goswami, noted that Roshni had appeared healthy and enthusiastic before leaving for the event. Gholwad police have registered an accidental death report and are awaiting post-mortem results to confirm the exact cause of the sudden collapse.
