A Uttarakhand Police constable allegedly publicly resigned on Friday, July 24, at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, handing his resignation letter directly to activist and Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke amid ongoing student-led demonstrations. It is claimed that the police constable was identified as Sher Singh. He arrived at the protest site and submitted his resignation in a symbolic gesture of support for the students. He joined the gathering organised by the Cockroach Janta Party. which has been demanding accountability over alleged irregularities in national examinations, including NEET. A purported video of the incident showing Singh addressing the protestors from the stage and presenting the resignation document to Dipke, the CJP founder, has also gone viral on social media.
