Captain Shiva Chauhan is the first female officer who has been posted on the world's highest battlefield, Saichen glacier. She was posted at the Kumar post, located at an altitude of around┬а15,600 feet in Siachen. She went there in January 2023 for a three-month stint. She underwent a rigorous one-month training.
