A LinkedIn post going viral on social media has once again reignited work-life balance debate in the country. Titled "Too Many Holidays, No Work Moving!", the post by a Hyderabad-based CEO said that its time to rethink about India's holiday culture and strike a better balance. In his post on LinkedIn, Ravikumar Tummalacharla, founder and CEO of Cleanrooms Containments, claimed that "too many holidays" is negatively impacting work in the country. Tummalacharla said that the "overload of public and optional holidays, combined with weekends, often brings work to a standstill" Giving example, he said that in April alone, the country had over 10 holidays as most of the offices witnessed no file movement for weeks. The Hyderabad-based CEO further said that they want to celebrate Indian and Western traditions; however, it should not be at the cost of productivity. His post drew mixed reactions with one user commenting, "I can understand about other holidays, but cribbing even for weekends?" while a second user wrote, "It looks like Mr. Founder’s office works round the clock 24x7". A third user asked, "So the solution to India’s economic growth is cancelling Diwali, Eid, and Good Friday?"
