New Zealand continued their dominant run in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 with a 149-run victory over Afghanistan on October 18. Chasing 289 to win, Afghanistan fell apart for just 139 runs with Mitchell Santner and Lockie Ferguson taking three wickets apiece. Trent Boult also got two wickets. Earlier, a 144-run partnership between Tom Latham (68) and Glenn Phillips (71) helped New Zealand to get to 288/6 after losing early wickets.
