Shaheen Afridi produced one of his best performances, taking four wickets for 30 runs. Pakistan bowled out New Zealand by nine runs and drew the series 2-2.
Pakistan produced a magnificent performance, especially with the ball in hand as they beat New Zealand by nine runs in the fifth and final T20I of the series on April 27. Batting first, Pakistan scored 178/5, with captain Babar Azam scoring 69 off 44 balls with six fours and two sixes. Fakhar Zaman also chipped in with 43 off 33 balls with four fours and one maximum. For New Zealand, James Neesham was the best bowler with figures of 1/13 in one over. Ish Sodhi, Zakary Foulkes, William O'Rourke and Ben Sears took one wicket apiece. In response, New Zealand were bowled out for 169. Tim Seifert top-scored with 52 runs but Shaheen Afridi was the best bowler, taking figures of 4/30. Usama Mir also took two wickets.
