Alexander Zverev played a brilliant 'banana' shot during the US Open 2024 men's singles quarterfinal to stun his opponent Taylor Fritz. Zverev ran quickly from the left to the right corner for winning a point.
German Tennis star Alexander Zverev recreated a 'Rafael Nadal' 2019 US Open moment during his clash against Taylor Fritz in the quarterfinal of the 2024 edition of the tennis grand slam. The fourth game of the second set was tied at 15-15 and Fritz put his opponent under pressure and didn't give an easy catch to get a point. Both the players engaged in a grilling rally and during the same Fritz sent the ball to Zverev's right corner while the latter was in his left to win a point. However, the world number four pulled off brilliant agility and returned back to the right corner and hit a brilliant 'banana' shot from outside court to win a point.
