ZIM Win By 23 Runs| Australia vs Zimbabwe Highlights, T20 World Cup 2026 Match 19: Blessing Muzarabani, Brad Evans Shine As ZIM Earn Sensational Win

Zimbabwe have managed to pull off a sensational win here in Colombo, defeating favourites Australia by 23 runs in their Group B encounter of the  ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Bowlers Blessing Muzarabani and Brad Evans ran riot, picking seven wickets between them as Australia bundled out for 146 with a bit of resistance from Matt Renshaw. 

OUT! A massive moment for Zimbabwe, and Wellington Masakadza is elated. Marcus Stoinis played the slog sweep, but only managed to top-edge the ball into the fielder at deep mid-wicket. Matt Renshaw is keeping Australia's hopes alive with a solid fifty. 

OUT! Ryan Burl, in his first over, has managed to clean up Glenn Maxwell. Maxwell went for the hoick over mid-wicket, but managed to drag the ball onto the stumps thanks to an inside edge. Marcus Stoinis is in the middle for Australia. 

The game is alive, with Matt Renshaw and Glenn Maxwell keeping Australia in the hunt. Renshaw and Maxwell have added 54 off 45, after Australia were reduced to 29 for 4. Zimbabwe have struggled to pick wickets, and with captain Sikandar Raza off the field, the bowling unit is feeling the pinch. 

Matt Renshaw and Glenn Maxwell have stopped the bleeding for Australia and have ensured the team crossed the 50-run mark without further damage. Renshaw and Maxwell have added 22 off 21, and will look to go as deep as possible into the innings. Marcus Stoinis' availability to bat remains unknown. 

OUT! Brad Evans has cleaned up Australian captain Travis Head, and Zimbabwe are in complete control of the contest in Colombo. Head managed to get a thick inside edge onto his pads, which further ricocheted onto the stumps, much to frustation of the Australian captain. 

Blessing Muzarabani has turned up the heat in Colombo, as Australia finds itself in trouble, with three batters back in the hunt. Muzarabani dismissed the dangerous Tim David for 0, after Brad Evans removed Cameron Green for nought in the third over. 

OUT! Blessing Muzarabani gets a wicket on the first ball, and Australia lose their opener. A short ball by Muzarabani saw Josh Inglis attempt the pull, which failed to find the distance, and was pouched by a brilliant catch from Tashinga Musekiwa. 

With eight wickets in hand, Zimbabwe would have hoped to end near 180-190. Brian Bennett top-scored with _ while Ryan Burl, Tadiwanashe Marumani contributed with 35 runs each. Captain Sikandar Raza played a cameo, scoring 25 off 13. Cameron Green was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 6 for 1. Australia will be worried about Marcus Stoinis' injury.

FIFTY! Brian Bennett reached his 11th T20I half-century, which took the batter 43 balls, and included six fours. Bennett looked shaky at the start, but has progressed well into his innings, and will look to provide Zimbabwe a solid end.

While the run-rate might not excite fans, Zimbabwe have steadily managed to keep the scoreboard ticking. Ryan Burl and Brian Bennett have added 45 runs for the second wicket and helped Zimbabwe cross 100 runs. Bennett is nearing his 11th T20I half-century.

OUT! Australia have a wicket, and Marcus Stoinis gets the wicket of dangerous Tadiwanashe Marumani. Marumani maintained his aggression, but his luck did not as the batter managed to edge the ball to the keeper while playing the cut shot. 

Tadiwanashe Marumani has taken the attack to the spinner, especially Glenn Maxwell, looting 12 runs from the all-rounder's last over. While Marumani is playing the role of the aggressor, Brian Bennett is playing the sheetanchor role in the middle. Important for Australia to make an inroad. 

Zimbabwean openers Brian Bennett and Tadlwanashe Marumani will hope to provide their side a steady start, with Australia already burning a DRS. Australians pacers started the competition on point, and will look to repeat their performance from the opening encounter.

Captain Sikandar Raza confirms Brendan Taylor has been ruled out of the competition, while Richard Ngarava has been rested as a precaution.
