Virat Kohli has a huge fan base, and it is not a hidden fact that his fan-following is not limited to India only. Australia’s Sports Minister introduced the Indian captain in quite a jovial mood, where he said that she had a ‘total cricket crush’ on this guy (Virat Kohli) to everyone's surprise. The incident happened when the Indian and Australian team were hosted by Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, at his official residence – Kirribilli House – in Sydney, on New Year’s Eve. India’s Likely Playing XI for Sydney Test 2019: Will Virat Kohli Give Another Chance to KL Rahul?

The Sports Minister gave it a humorous twist in the end by saying that she hoped that they (India) lose later this week. While introducing Kohli, she said, “It gives me great pleasure to introduce… I have got a total cricket crush on this guy… Mr Virat Kohli, known worldwide as the best batsman in the world and that passion that he brings on the pitch and on the field is just so exciting to watch even though… I hope, you lose this week!”

The introduction left everyone in the crowd with a burst of laughter on their face, and the captain Virat Kohli was sporting a smile while he took centre stage. Kohli said that it was a ‘lovely introduction’ and applauded his teammates for their performances, Down Under. India vs Australia, 4th Test 2019: Check Out the Weather Forecast of Sydney as Virat Kohli & Men Are All Set to Script History.

Kohli said, “Umm, that was a lovely introduction. I think it presents to us probably our biggest challenge in world cricket, purely not because we are not only playing the Australian side as we all know. When you step into that stadium, and you walk into bat, the whole stadium wants to get you out.”

The Indian captain further added, “That is something you are up against, and that’s the greatness of the sports culture and the cricket culture here. So I just want to tell our boys that what we have done in these first three Tests and the way that we have been able to play is something that is very special and something that will stay with us for life.” Virat Kohli Motivated to Win Against 40,000 People at SCG as Team India Sets out to Script History (Watch Video).

India is currently 2-1 up in the 4-match Test series. If India wins the Test match in Sydney or manages to hold on to a draw, it will be for the first time that India would have won a Test series in Australia against Australia. Given how both the teams have played in the series so far, it will be difficult to predict which team wins the match. India vs Australia 2018-19, 4th Test: Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara Click Selfies & Sign Autographs for Young Fans After Practice Session (See Pics & Video).
