Virat Kohli has a huge fan base, and it is not a hidden fact that his fan-following is not limited to India only. Australia’s Sports Minister introduced the Indian captain in quite a jovial mood, where he said that she had a ‘total cricket crush’ on this guy (Virat Kohli) to everyone's surprise. The Sports Minister gave it a humorous twist in the end by saying that she hoped that they (India) lose later this week. While introducing Kohli, she said, “It gives me great pleasure to introduce… I have got a total cricket crush on this guy… Mr Virat Kohli, known worldwide as the best batsman in the world and that passion that he brings on the pitch and on the field is just so exciting to watch even though… I hope, you lose this week!”

The introduction left everyone in the crowd with a burst of laughter on their face, and the captain Virat Kohli was sporting a smile while he took centre stage. The Indian captain further added, “That is something you are up against, and that’s the greatness of the sports culture and the cricket culture here. India is currently 2-1 up in the 4-match Test series.
