IND Win By 7 Runs | India vs England Highlights, T20 World Cup 2026 Semi-Final: Men in Blue Reach Final Despite Jacob Bethell's 105

India have qualified for the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 after defeating England in a high-scoring IND vs ENG semi-final at the Wankhede Stadium. Defending a record-breaking total of 253, Jacob Bethell's onslaught, who scored 105, but Men in Blue withstood a fierce counter-attack to set up a title clash against New Zealand. 

A sensational hundred from Jacob Bethell, and that too in a knockout match. Bethell reached his 100 in 45 balls, keeping England in the hunt. 

OUT! Axar Patel takes a blinder to dismiss Will Jacks, and Arshdeep Singh manages to wicket on a full toss. India have been absolutely horrible in the field with their bowlers, with spinners leaking runs like an open tap. Jacob Bethell has scored the fastest fifty for England in the T20 World Cup, betting national record by Will Jacks (21). Jacks and Bethell added 75 in no time. 

Despite the wickets, Jacob Bethell has kept England's hunt, scoring 49 off 18 balls. Bethell has attacked spinners largely, targeting out-of-form Varun Chakaravarthy. Bethell is joined by England's saviour this competition, Will Jacks. 

OUT! Axar Patel bowls a slower ball, and Tom Banton failed to gauge the speed and gets himself bowled. Banton slammed Patel for back-to-back sixes and came back with a wicket to get the final laugh. 

OUT! A sigh of relief for Varun Chakaravarthy, who gets the wicket of Jos Buttler after being hammered for 13 runs in the over. Buttler failed to read the wrong un and ended up getting his left stump rattled. 

OUT! Jasprit Bumrah into his first over, and dismisses England captain Harry Brook. Brook failed to judge the slower ball and ended up chipping the ball over mid-off, where Axar Patel took a running catch. 

OUT! Hardik Pandya comes into bowl ahead of Jasprit Bumrah, and dismisses the in-form Philip Salt. Salt made 5 off 3, before handing a catch to Axar Patel, misreading a slower ball. 

In case England chases this down, this will be a historic chase. Jos Buttler and Philip Salt started the innings with a 13-run over off Arshdeep Singh. Singh leaks runs like anything on his poor day. The pressure is on India to claim wickets here on this flat track. 

Despite the regular fall of wickets in the final few overs, India have managed to breach the 250-run mark, and the Men in Blue end on 253. Hardik Pandya's brisk 27 off 12, and Tilak Varma's 21 off 7, have ensured India end up on a mammoth 253. Will Jacks and Adil Rashid were standout bowlers for England, claiming two wickets each. 

OUT! Adil Rashid gets his second wicket, and India captain Suryakumar Yadav has to walk back to the dressing room. Yadav slammed a six on the earlier delivery, and after that perished. 

OUT! Will Jacks can do nothing wrong with the bat, and Sanju Samson has to depart after a sensational knock. Samson missed his 100 by 11 runs, scoring 89 off 42 balls. Samson went for the big shot and chipped the ball straight into the fielder's hand. 

OUT! Adil Rashid into his second over, and gets the wicket of dangerous Ishan Kishan. Kishan departs after scoring 38 off 18, but not before adding 97 with Sanju Samson for the second wicket. A timnely wicket of England. 

FIFTY! Sanju Samson slams his second fifty in as many matches and has been India's backbone here in Mumbai. Samson has played with ease against spinners and pacers, hitting seven fours and three sixes. 

India have crossed the fifty-run mark, and Sanju Samson is the prime reason. Samson has scored 31 off 15, while Ishan is batting on 15. The duo has added 35 off 18 balls, putting India in the driver's seat despite the fall of Abhishek's wicket. 

OUT! Abhishek Sharma fails again. Sharma goes for the big shot and perishes to Will Jacks. Jacks' has been England's golden arm, who has regularly picked wickets in the powerplay. 

After a slow start, Sanju Samson exploded, scoring six and four, with Jofra Archer leaking 11 runs. This is an important innings for Abhishek Sharma.
