So here's the official word from the BCCI that the match as been cancelled due to rains. The next T20I will be held in Mohali.

So as per a few reports online, the match at Dharamshala has been abandoned.  However, we are still waiting for the official word. 

The waiting game continues as we still wait for the rain to subsidise.  

The rain in Dharamshala stopped for a few minutes but picked up once again. The fans still havent lost hopes.

After clinching the T20I series against West Indies, India is all set to play the first T20I game against South Africa at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. The visitors have a change in leadership with the retirement of their stalwart and we have Quinton de Kock as the new skipper of the team. AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla and Dale Steyn have hung up their boots and Faf Du Plessis is no more handling the reins of the team. India exactly hasn’t had the right combination in the T20Is so far. The infusion of young talent is the right way to prepare for the T20I World Cup.
