Gudakesh Motie dismissed Pakistan captain Shan Masood and put pressure on the home side early. Later, Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan took control of Pakistan's innings. They built up a solid partnership and scored a half-century each. Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan will continue proceedings for Pakistan coming in on day 2.

Day 2 started with West Indies ruling the roost, but by the end of the play, Pakistan have managed to gain a commanding position in the Test. Pakistan got bundled out for 230, following which spinners Noman Ali and Sajid Khan rattled the visitor's batter, claiming nine wickets between them, and bundling Windies for 137. Pakistan started well but lost quick wickets, after which captain Shan Masood played a solid knock, reaching his 11th Test fifty. However, just nearing the close of play, Masood got run out after a mixup, which slightly pegged the Pakistan innings back after which bad light stopped the action.

Stumps! Bad light is back to spoil the fun, on a day where Pakistan completely outshined their opponents, first with the ball and then wicket the bat. Saud Shakeel and Kamran Ghulam will be more than happy to take the light, and resume batting tomorrow.

50-Run Partnership! Better batting performance from the Pakistan side in the second innings. Shaan Masood and Mohammad Huraira with steady batting, and now have formed a 50-run partnership. Both side's top-order failed early in the innings.
