A lot was being said and speculated about Rohit Sharma's captaincy before the highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan at Asia Cup 2018 on Wednesday. However, India easily managed to beat Pakistan and won the match with 8-wickets in hand. Rohit impressed not just with his batting but also with his captaincy as he hit a quick fire fifty and gave India a comprehensive victory.

First things first: Rohit Sharma lost the toss but going by the result, it seems it was a good toss to lose. Even if that was not the case, the Indian bowlers made sure that Pakistan doesn't score big by taking wickets at regular intervals. Bhuvneshwar Kumar removed both the openers in quick succession as Jaspreet Bumrah stopped the runs. Pakistan seemed to be building a partnership and getting back in the match, but Rohit introduced Kuldeep Yadav just at the right time to break the partnership between a well-set Shoaib Malik and Babar Azam. But the biggest trick Rohit managed to pull off was thanks to Kedar Jadhav, who picked three wickets and put Pakistan on the backfoot.
