1st Inn
2nd Inn
End of Over : 50.0IND: 285/7
Things seemed like they would go out of control, but towards the fag end, Hong Kong mounted a late assault. From 242/3 in the 42nd over, India finished the innings on 285/7. Those middle order woes showing themselves once again. Kinchit Shah was the pick of the lot as he scalped a 3-fer, with the two Khans and Ehsan Nawaz doing their part as well. The wicket is on the slower side and it will be a challenge for Hong Kong, especially given the arsenal in India's bowling ranks. Should be a good chase. Join us shortly for the action.
India might be happy with what they have on the board, all said and done, but a superb comeback from Hong Kong after a rather loose start. India were put into bat and the two openers provided a good start. Sharma was dismissed though, but post that, Dhawan and Rayudu took control of things. A century stand between them brought things in their favour, with Rayudu getting out after scoring a fifty. Shikhar, however, continued with Karthik and added 79, scoring a good ton himself.

Also informs that Khaleel Ahmed will make his debut. Hong Kong skipper, Anshuman Rath says they are keen to showcase their skills. Adds further that some hard lessons were learnt in the last game and feels that it is inexcusable how their batting collapsed. Expects a better show from his team today as they try and restrict India as much as possible. States that today his players will look to give their best performance with a smile on their faces, enjoying the game. Ends by saying that there is some grass covering on the surface and expects the pitch to remain good for batting throughout the day.

Will we see another one-sided thrashing of a weaker team by the obvious stronger one? Or can this funny game throw up another surprise, as it has done time and again in the past?

That is all from this game! Now all our attentions will be turned, if it was not already, towards the big, no wait, the HUGE game. India against Pakistan, the match which will decide who finishes Group A on top. The match starts at 1530 Local (1130 GMT). Till then, take care and goodbye.
Man of the Match, Shikhar Dhawan, says that he was doing his process and believed in himself. Mentions that he was not taking extra risks and was playing on the merit of the ball. Credits one of the Hong Kong bowlers for bowling in the right areas on a slow pitch.
India skipper, Rohit Sharma, says that there were a lot of things that didn't go to plan but winning the game was the most important thing. Mentions that they made a lot of mistakes and there are no excuses for that. States that his boys have done the job earlier and he backs them. Adds that a couple of players showed a lot of character when it was needed. Opines that it was a great learning curve for them. Stresses the fact that they will be put under pressure but how they respond to it is what matters. Praises Dhawan for coming back strongly after a tough tour for England and also admires the way Rayudu played in his comeback game. Is all praises for the debutant, Khaleel Ahmed. Adds that he didn't start of well but did extremely well to fight back. Ends by saying that hopefully his boys will be fresh for the big game tomorrow.
Hong Kong skipper, Anshuman Rath, says that they are proud of the way they played but it is a bittersweet feeling. Adds that they were in a position to win this game and are disappointed with the final result. Mentions that they lost their way in the middle overs and that cost them. States that they wanted to play freely in this tournament and he is proud that his boys have done so. Adds that it would have been great if they had rolled the best team in the world over. Praises Nizakat Khan for his brilliant knock upfront and also Kinchit Shah for his terrific display with both ball and bat. Gives the credit to Shikhar Dhawan for playing a superb knock. Ends by saying that with Rayudu also batting well, 350 was on the cards for India but is happy this his bowlers were on the money at the fag end to restrict them to much less.
Earlier in the day, India, after being inserted, were going great guns, courtesy a 116-run stand between Rayudu and Dhawan. The latter got to a brilliant ton and when he was out there, India looked like crossing 300. However, a good fight back towards the fag end by the Hong Kong bowlers, especially, Kinchit Shah managed to keep the Men in Blue below 300 but that too proved to be enough.
However, today was a prime example of how important fitness is in modern day cricket. As the overs went on, Nizakat Khan started to tire out. He found it difficult to score and that built pressure. The run rate kept on building and a wicket was around the corner and that is exactly what happened. Kuldeep got the first and that opened the floodgates. It was all India after that as Khaleel the debutant then showed what he is capable of. He got rid of Nizakat who missed out on a well-deserved ton. He finished with a three-fer along with Chahal who ran through the middle order. He too ended with three wickets to his name. Thakur had a day to forget as he was taken for a plenty. However, Kedar Jadhav made up for him with a very economical spell. Kumar too did not have a great day at the office.
Chasing an above par total of 286, the Hong Kong openers came out all guns blazing. They took the attack to the Indian pacers and scored freely against them. They also tackled the spin twins really well. Yes, they did not score at the same rate against them as they did against the pacers but they were surely keeping the scoreboard moving. Nizakat Khan mainly, he was the aggressor as he got to his half ton in quick time. The skipper played the perfect foil to him as he also got to his half ton. The two added Hong Kong's highest partnership in ODI cricket and at that time they were well in the game.
So, it all ends how everyone thought it would with India winning their first game and knocking Hong Kong out of the 2018 Asia Cup. However, credit has to be given to them for the fight they have shown in this game. Especially after their outing against Pakistan, I do not think a lot people would have thought they would have fought this hard, against a team which probably a lot people felt was a tougher test.

India vs Hong Kong Highlights And Cricket Score 4th Match - ODI Commentary
Things seemed like they would go out of control, but towards the fag end, Hong Kong mounted a late assault. From 242/3 in the 42nd over, India finished the innings on 285/7. Those middle order woes showing themselves once again. Kinchit Shah was the pick of the lot as he scalped a 3-fer, with the two Khans and Ehsan Nawaz doing their part as well. Ends by saying that there is some grass covering on the surface and expects the pitch to remain good for batting throughout the day.
TOSS - Hong Kong won the toss and elected to bowl.
Hola, everyone! Welcome to our coverage of the 4th match of the tournament between the mighty Indians and the minnows Hong Kong in Dubai. India will be looking to put in a dominant performance in all three departments of the game and come up with a clinical show. Hong Kong, on the other hand, will be keen to make full use of this opportunity, do the basics right and put up a competitive show against the Men in Blue.
