Deepinder Goyal Announces Temple Partnership with Art of Living to Measure Meditation Impact, Meets Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Deepinder Goyal’s Temple is collaborating with the Sri Sri Institute for Advanced Research to study meditation’s impact using the device’s Entropy biomarker. The study tracks the parasympathetic state, with Entropy reportedly dropping during meditation while heart rate remains stable. The research aims to identify practices that produce the strongest response.
Deepinder Goyal has announced a collaboration between Temple and the Sri Sri Institute for Advanced Research, the research arm of Art of Living, to measure the impact of different meditation practices. The study uses Entropy, a new biomarker on the Temple device that tracks the body’s parasympathetic state. Goyal noted that Entropy levels drop in real time during meditation while heart rate remains stable. He met Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to discuss involving experienced meditators. Results from the joint research are expected to be published soon. The project aims to identify which practices produce the strongest parasympathetic response.
