In December 2017 and March 2018, three leaked footage surfaced online showcasing UFO sightings. The US Navy, for the first time, verified the authenticity of those videos and insisted the footage should never have been made public. The videos showed US navy pilots trailing some unidentified flying objects that moved at hypersonic speeds, flying tens of thousands of feet above the Earth with reportedly no visible engines or signs of propulsion. The pilots had no idea what those mysterious objects were. Leaked and shared by various media outlets, the US military announced that the navy officials consider the craft in these three videos, “unidentified aerial phenomena.” UFO's and Aliens are Real? The footage caused a sensation in 2017 and 2018, when The New York Times, The Washington Post and many headlined the mysterious sightings. The reports at the time revealed that the video had been obtained and released by the To The Stars Academy of Arts and Science, the private research and media firm. In one of the videos, two Navy pilots tracked an unidentified object flying off the East Coast in 2015. In another, an object called the “Tic Tac,” because it was shaped like the candy was spotted sliding from about 60,000 feet to 50 feet in just a matter of seconds, off the coast of California in 2004. Again, in the 2014 incident, a US Navy Super Hornet pilot almost hit an unidentified flying object during an official mission near the Virginia Beach.

In an official statement, Joseph Gradisher, a spokesperson for the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare, announced that the Navy officials confirm these footages as an “unidentified aerial phenomena.” This means that the videos are authentic and the objects detected in the restricted military training airspaces in 2004 and 2015, were not supposed to be there. It worth noting here that the objects still have not been successfully identified as any known type of aircraft. Besides, they are never cleared for public release.
