K Krithivasan, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of India’s largest software exporter, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), received an annual remuneration of INR 28.1 crore for the fiscal year 2026. The latest figures, disclosed in the technology major’s annual report, represent a 6.3% year-on-year increase compared to the INR 26.52 crore he took home in the previous fiscal year.
The chief executive's total compensation for the financial year concluded in March comprised a base salary of INR 1.67 crore alongside INR 1.43 crore in benefits, perquisites, and allowances. TCS Executive Salary Ratio and Board Remuneration
The corporate disclosure highlighted that the ratio of the chief executive's salary to the median remuneration of the rest of the workforce stood at 332.8 for the fiscal year. Median remuneration represents the middle value of all ordered employee compensation structures within the Mumbai-headquartered IT infrastructure firm.
The annual documentation also outlined the remuneration details for TCS Chief Operating Officer Aarthi Subramanian. She received a total package of INR 18.33 crore for the fiscal year 2026, a total that included a basic salary of INR 1.5 crore, INR 1.83 crore allocated for perks and allowances, and an institutional commission of INR 15 crore.
Global Employee Wage Increments and Market Trends
The software exporter, which reports a global headcount of 5,84,519 workers, observed a 5.1% increase in the overall median remuneration of its employees during the financial period. According to the board report, the average annual compensation bump for junior and mid-level software professionals inside India fell within the range of 4.5% to 7.0%.
Top-performing tech professionals inside the country received double-digit increments. When accounting for scheduled promotions and event-based compensation revisions, the final comprehensive wage increase scaled between 5.0% and 8.0%.
For technical staff and operational personnel located outside India, the junior and mid-level wage increases varied between 1.5% and 6.0%. Management specified that the varied global pay revisions remained directly aligned with localized tech market trends across their respective operational countries.
