Georgia Teacher Maris Nichols Violated House Arrest 85 Times in Student S*x Abuse Case
Prosecutors want Georgia teacher Maris Nichols' bond revoked, alleging 85 house arrest violations amid s*x abuse charges involving students. She is also accused of sending text messages to male students in which she allegedly said 'she liked to be choked, screamed at, slapped, and whipped during s*xual encounters.'
Prosecutors in Georgia have asked a judge to revoke the bond of a Douglasville high school teacher charged with s*xually assaulting students, alleging she violated her house arrest conditions dozens of times.
Maris Nichols, 25, a teacher at Alexander High School, was arrested in May and charged with s*xual assault by a person with supervisory or disciplinary authority. She is accused of having s*x with multiple students on more than one occasion, including once in a school closet and another time in the backseat of a student's truck at a golf course.
Bond Violation Allegations
According to a motion filed by prosecutors and obtained by FOX 5, Nichols allegedly committed 38 home curfew violations and 47 inclusion zone violations over 27 days, totaling 85 alleged breaches of her house arrest conditions. "The Defendant's bond conditions clearly limited her movements to approved activities, including employment, religious services, attorney visits, medical appointments, and court appearances," prosecutors wrote. "However, the compliance report reflects that the Defendant repeatedly traveled to locations outside the scope of those approved activities, including retail stores and fast-food establishments." Other Allegations Against Nichols
Previous court filings claimed Nichols made a female student watch "Fifty Shades of Grey." She is also accused of sending text messages to male students in which she allegedly said "she liked to be choked, screamed at, slapped, and whipped during s*xual encounters."
Search warrants previously reported by FOX 5, WSB and Atlanta News First revealed claims that students discovered an OnlyFans account allegedly belonging to Nichols and threatened to expose it unless they received better grades. It is not clear if she was actually being blackmailed.
The Douglas County School System said in a statement following Nichols' arrest that it was "deeply troubled by allegations against an individual associated with one of our schools" and that it "immediately launched an investigation" upon learning of the alleged misconduct.
